How do you protect a dogs feet in this cold weather.?
She has a large foot and will not let me put anything on them. She can hardly walk.
I recomend applying vaseline to her foot pads because they may dry out from being constantly subjected to cold tempatures, moisture, and road salt. (Gently wash off foot pads with warm moist cloth prior).
I also recomend clipping her nails, exessivly long nais may result in discomfort.
Booties or ‘pet socks’ may be purchaced at your local animal supply store and further protect your dog’s feet. She may detest the idea of shoes on her feet but she needs some ‘tough love’!
She will definatley benifit from some ‘doggie down-time’ and pampering until she returns to normal physical activity.
