Moving to Madison…need help?
I am going to be moving to Madison, WI this summer and I would like to find places on the Internet (besides obviously just plain ol’ Google) to find an apartment that allows a dog and two rabbits, and I would also like to find a small pasture to rent for my horse, or else a small farm/ranch to rent.
I’m mostly looking for a forum or something of the sort. Any place to find information or to ask people in Madison about this would be great. Thanks!

As for a dog and two rabbits, that shouldn’t be a problem for most areas. There are plenty of apartments listed online. I prefer yahoo, a ton show up. Search for birwood properties, MJM properties, coolunits.net, and mistwood properties, and those are the only ones that I can think of right now, but there are a billion. you could also go on www.wisc.edu, go to student housing, and search for off campus housing- you can even enter in pets for search criteria, and it comes up with quite a few entries.
I am boarding my horse at www.kkkstables.com which has a horrible name (the owner’s name is Keith Kramer, his sister, and his wife- all K’s), but is a very nice place. It is $150/month for rough board, or $260/ stall.
From personal experience and what I have heard from friends, stay away from Mandt Equestrian center and AND stables.
Most boarding places are $150-$300, though a couple go up into the $1000 range.
A lot of the stables don’t have websites, though if you call them (look them up on yellow pages) they may be cheaper than what I have found by website search.
There are occasionally listings for a house/flat to rent at a farm/stable, but I don’t see them often.
