question about boxers?
boxer were bred with an under bite and a short muzzle which is much Better to hold on to prey (look on animal planet on dog 101 (boxers they tell you in there)
what exactly is bull baiting?
The origen of “bull baiting” came from strong jawed dogs helping the farmer move the bulls by hanging from their nose and swinging their body to help turn the bull. This is why bulldogs are so heavy bodied.
Boxers were not bred to bait bulls, they were bred in Germany to do police and military work. Their bite is designed to hold the man without doing a great amount of damage.
Go to the Boxer club of america website the history of the breed is there.
