How many dogs AND kids live in your home? I have five children ages 13 to 16 months and….?
thinking about getting a dog from the local shelter. My husband is a little hesitant feeling it will be too much added caos in the house. My mother (and his) think we are crazy for considering another dog. We own a boxer and yorkie. I say my yorkie doesn’t take up much room so why not? Plus we have a lot of love and attention to give to another dog. Any other families out there with a full house?

There’s six kids in this house, four shih tzus, one yorkshire terrier, a cockatiel, senegal parrot, and sun conure, the seven budgies upstairs, the twenty chickens outside…
I’d say you’d do fine, especially if the kids are willing to help take care of the animals -a large family usually takes lots of animals with ease, because there’s a whole bunch of people to give them love, attention and care.
