Information about this dog breed?
i am buying a puppy. i am really interested in the australian shepherd. i thinkk its a good breed for mee. i am looking for people that know about this breed. Any information about this breed would be amazing. I just want to make sure that this is the right breed for me. Please NO links b/c i have already done research. i just want to hear from people that have had an australian shepherd or know a little about them. Any information would be so amazing!! THANKK YOU!

Wow, those are all breeds with very different characteristics in regards to energy level, attitude, grooming, trainability, and size. I would encourage you to take another look at the breed characterisitcs and your lifestyle.
Aussies are very, VERY high energy dogs. Not good apartment dogs. You really should have a fenced yard. They are herders, so they may try to get the neighborhood children. They are very smart dogs, good at problem solving. They blow their coats once or twice a year.
Unless they have plenty of physical and mental stimulation a Aussie will start to engage in destructive behavior out of boredom and frustration.
