dogs freezing temperatures
Is there a law that protects dogs from being left out in temperatures below freezing?
I live on the outskirts of town, and every night I can hear someone’s dog barking. It barks and barks and barks. Tonight it is -19 celcius with a wind chill factor of -26. That’s bitter COLD.
I don’t know which house the dog barking is coming from. It’s too cold to go walking around the country side searching. Just wondering if I should call some body. The barking at night has been going on for months. It just started to get really cold a few days ago. I live in Ontario, Canada.
That is considered animal cruelty. Calling your humane society would be best, and here is the SPCA’s international website. On a side note, if they won’t do anything about it for the animals sake (lets say they don’t have any animal abuse laws like that or something) then if you complain about the noise they will still talk to the owners and possibly remove the dog.
