Why does my dogs lick the carpet all the time?
It’s ruining my new carpet besides getting on my last nerves, she also likes to eat it if she gets a chance , she has already took a chunk out of it, I see that there have been several questions ask on the same subject but I am asking it again to see if there are any new ideas of what to do . She does get a chew bones frequently but when thats gone she will lick the carpet again. I don’t want apple bitter cus its too sticky, any other suggestions?
(female dog licking carpet insert lesbian joke here) the reason dogs lick any thing is because there is food on it or something that smells like food. usually if someone drops food on the carpet some liquid residue doesnt get vacummed up…….the dog can smell that and there nose tells them its food. so them lick it. you need a good deep carpet cleaning, or replacement of the padding underneath if its soaked into that. if its in the padding the dog can smell it and will keep licking till she gets to it.
