Dog: Gurgling noises?
Hi, My dogs stomach area is making loud gurgling noises. I can’t really tell whether the noises are coming from the small intestine or the stomach. Should I be worried? She not acting that different, but she wouldn’t eat her dinner which is weird cause she only gets one meal a day.
(She is an almost 2 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback)
When a Ridgeback does not eat it is usually very serious. I hope I’m wrong, but have you checked the gums to see if they are a deep color? Sounds in the gut should not be happening with no food, unless your dogs has ingested something dangerous.
I’ve had Ridgebacks for 15 years now, and the only times they have not eaten there has been a very serious disease involved (lepto, parvo, ruptured splenic tumor) that’s why I suggest this dog be seen by a vet if it does not eat within the next few hours.
