dog diabetes?
can dogs get diabetes??
and what are the symptoms of it??
Yes, dogs can have diabetes, just as in people the symptoms include: excessive thirst, hunger, urination, lethargy, confusion, usually weight loss but can be gain, trouble with eye sight and hair loss. The only way to confirm or rule out is for the dog to undergo blood work. If you suspect your dog is diabetic you need to see a vet asap. Diabetes can be treated but not cured at this time. The dog will have to be placed on maintenance meds and diet. This isn’t something that can be put off. The dog just as in people can die if not treated properly.
