dogs up for adoption in california

dogs up for adoption in california
Where can i buy a maltese pup for $350 or less?

I am looking for a maltese puppy, male or female in Anaheim California. My parents won’t let me get one unless its maximum price is $350.00. I am willing to adopt one, if there are any near adoption centers nearby. Or, are there any available breeders around the area? What is a breeder’s policy. Do they always have to ship the dogs to you?

My parents do not want to go out of the city to pick it up. And they are concerned about a maltese’s price.

Any suggestions on what i should do ?
Plenty points will be given, if you answer decently.

Thank you.

That’s a tough question… :(
First off, maltese puppies are very expensive to begin with, and usually are between 800-1300 dollars. Most likely, it’s because most of them are bred to be breeding dogs or are for showing. However, it isn’t unlikely to find one at a shelter somewhere. If I lived anywhere near california, I would be able to try even harder to find this dog for you because I feel for people in this kind of situation. Sometimes local breeders sell their puppies for less than usual, and you could try to find one near you that could give you a bargain. If you do find someone, PLEASE visit the home and make sure it is not a puppy mill. This is the worst place to get a puppy from, and its extremely risky and dangerous. Make sure the home is pretty clean and that the owners are taking good care of the dogs, (mothers, fathers and puppies), as well as providing a place for the dogs to go to the bathroom, and sit, sleep, stand, and play.
If you can’t find a breeder, I guess the only other option that could work, would be to call any local shelters around your home and give them your home number and have them call you if they pick up a maltese. Chances are, if they even end up finding one, it probably won’t be a puppy, but it will at least be the breed you want, and it will likely already be potty trained and know some basic commands.
I’m sorry this seems a little bleak, but with the breed you’re looking for, and the aforementioned budget, thats about all you can do.
I hope this helped you, and I wish you the best of luck,
Cheers,
