dogs which bite the most
DS: What is wrong with most of these answers concerning a dog that has attacked?

Aggressively. BITTEN. 2 years of this. Why is the term *animal behaviorist* used SO much?

And! Excuse me please. But! If this was an American Pit Bull Terrier everyone would be screaming *kill it*.

Which I agree with even though I own an APBT. APBTs are NOT allowed EVER to aggressively attack a human.

BUT! Why is a Border Collie allowed? Can someone please help me understand why ANY dog which has bitten a human with full on, no holes barred aggression allowed to live?

Thank you.
I know all about the *pit* hysteria.

And I find it interesting a person just mentioned a Border Collie can’t kill…..but an APBT can take out a whole crowd…..if you piss it off enough……..well, that’s right interesting, there….
Whoa! I love the word ‘pussyfooted’!!!

I seen that question and refused to answer simply based on your question here. We cannot diagnose over the internet. Who knows what is wrong with that dog and I, personally, don’t like going around chanting KILL IT. But in all honesty, if it were a dog of mine, YUP it wouldn’t have made it to age 5.

Why people change their stance on this based upon breed is asinine to me. I don’t care if it is a fluffly maltese, a border collie or a Staffy…It bites it is not liable to live. In 9 out of 10 cases tho, the owner is to blame. Either they missed the early signs, failed to socialize, knew but failed to have proper control of their animal etc. So right along with euthanasia I believe they should never own a dog if those people are entirely ignorant to post a question on Y!A rather than seek a vet, seek a professional etc to really look into the dogs behavior.

Contrary to popular opinion and belief, ANY dog is capable of severely hurting a human. ALL cattle dogs can be bitters and nippers. Border collies can be neurotic and crazy and succumbed to aggression just as much, if not more, than the average Pit.

You will never see me, or any other DS regular who knows squat about dogs post such a riduculous question. WHY? Because you know as well as I do, we know what is wrong with any dog in our charge and act accordingly in the best interest of the animal and all involved.

To answer your question on why? Because we live in a pussyfooted world that everyone likes to sugar coat things and have hope and faith in absolutely nothing. No one is realistic nowadays and everyone wants to save and adopt. HAHA. No one wants to effectively train an animal without bribery. Look at this generation of children for Gods sakes…entitled, big headed, lazy brats raised with softness and given whatever they want…They are the ones raising these beasts…Need I say more???
