Are beagles dumb dogs?
I’ve owned a beagle mix but she was pretty smart. Are they dumb as constantly shown on top 10 dumbest dogs list, or are they just stubborn and independent like some say?
The are definitely NOT dumb.I have owned two purebreds and a mix and they were all smart dogs,especially my last one,Otis.He was housebroken in a week,could track down anything or anybody,play dead,crawl,sit up,shake,roll over,speak,and push a chair over to the counter so he could reach any food that might be there.He was wonderful with kids,babies and other animals and loved everyone.He was extremely loving and loyal to me and would go crazy when I would come home.He was one of the smartest dogs I’ve ever owned,but yes,he was stubborn. Beagles are one of my favorite breeds,but they aren’t for everyone because they are so stubborn.But once you own one,you will love them for life. They are not dumb by any means.
Edit: Here,I found a smart beagle for you.My dog knew all of those tricks,too. There are other smart beagles on there as well.
