Can Dogs eat Chocolate? Cause I’ve seen many people said they feed the dog chocolate and they’re still healthy, so I’m confused here XD

A chemical in chocolate, theobromine, is toxic to dogs and can cause death. Depending on the type and amount of chocolate ingested, the dog could very well be fine, but since it’s well-known that it is toxic, why would anyone risk it by knowingly giving a dog chocolate?
