good dogs for allergies
How much money is it to raise a shih tzu puppy. Is it a good dog for a child with allergies.?
I grew up in a house with five shih tzus. I currently have one. I have horrible allergies and never had a problem with the dogs growing up. Shih tzus do not shed and do not have dander. I get her groomed regulary to keep her clean and her fur nice. They are wonderful wonderful dogs. They are weird around kids though, so if you do get one, go for a puppy not an older one because it won’t adapt to your child well. Puppies though will love your child and be their best friend for years.
As for cost. figure your vet bills, which are probably a few hundred a year. My groomer costs 30 and I take her every 6-8 weeks depending on the time of year. I keep her shaved because I hate dealing with combing. I have a nice bed for her and plenty of squishy toys. I feed her quality food, but she does not eat much so food costs are cheap in the longrun. She only eats a handful a day!
