Do dogs like Border Collies need alot of room in yards to to be happy?
I am thinking about adopting a Border Collie that is 8 months old but I don’t have a big yard (less than 5,000 square feet) and I have alot of flower beds. I hear they are pretty hyper active with alot of energy. I don’t know if it would be wise to get a dog like that unless I had a bigger place like a ranch. It sure is a sweet dog. What do you suggest? Is it a wise choice, or am I asking for trouble from her wanting to dig and wanting to play alot.
border collies need thing to do…thats why they are frisbee type dogs. they do need walked a bit more…and through training can be good dogs…like any breed or mutt.most any dog/puppy is going to dig… if u are not an active tpye person then a border collie might not be a good idea….no dog should only get exersize from a yard.
