What is the future outlook for my hurt puppy?
My three month old puppy was attacked by an adult dog while walking in a park. That dog picked her up and shook her violently. It’s a longer story but you get the idea. She went straight to the vet and got stitches, x-rays, a drain, and other medical stuff. The vet said she looked like she was recovering after many appointments that week, but didn’t like that she was still limping on her front right leg (the dog grabbed her right shoulder when it bit her) and sent us to a dog bone specialist. He said that the other dog did break her shoulder bone (not the growth plates but in-between) and now she has a doggie cast for two weeks. The vet said he still doesn’t know if she will ever be able to walk or run normally again. My beautiful baby rescue mutt of a puppy has had such a hard little life so far. My question is if anybody has had something similar happen and how your dog is doing now? We love our puppy dearly and could use some hope for the future.
Seems to me like your puppy was sent you because your special.. As long as your dog is not in pain then all will be fine… it seems your truly love her and well who could ask for anything more. I can’t help with the what ifs, but all I can say is just take it day by day… she will bring you heaps and heaps of pleasure and fill your hearts with joy! – And that my dear is the hope for the future because she is still alive and still the same puppy you loved.
