Can my Toy Poodle always have this kind of cut?

& not the stereotypical kind where the fur is only on his feet, head, ears, & tail.
Does the stereotypical cut only depend on preference and not because the breed is like that as they mature?
Unless you are showing your dog in conformation, you can keep your dog in absolutely any cut you like.
I MUCH prefer a clip like the one in the pic you show to a “continental” clip (the one REQUIRED for show).
You might wish to discuss this with a groomer. He/she can help you to identify your dog’s best assets and modify or create a style that plays up your dog’s best features. No one … believe me, NO ONE … expects to see a Poodle in full show-coat on a daily basis, unless that dog is campaigning on the show-circuit.
