Solid Gold Dog Food
Does anyone use Solid Gold dog food and if so how do you like it?
I was told about it by a friend. I have a pug that has chronic gastritis and I guess thier food is supposed to be very good.
I’m not a big fan of it. I mean their food isn’t bad, infact it’s a lot better than most. However They’ve changed their formulas… a lot and without warning. And each time their formula changes it goes down in quality (IMHO) Such as their Barking at the Moon grain free formula. It now contains Potato Protein – rather high up in the ingredient list (4th) where their was no plant based protein before! It also started “splitting” it’s ingredients. Their price is super inflated for the quality (Around here BATM goes for $11 more than EVO)
It’s all about trusting the company. I’ve seen SG make to many cuts in quality to increase profitability to ever trust the health of my dogs to them.
I would have fed SG 5 years ago. Today? never.
