dogs should not eat chocolate

My dog just ate chocolate!… What should I do?
I’m not sure, but I think my dog got ahold of 2 scones containing semi-sweet chocolate chips. She is a 35lb husky and ate a total of probably 10 chocolate chips at the most… Is this an emergency? What signs/symptoms should I look for?
She seems completely normal though… the only reason I suspect she ate them was because they are missing. And she’s never stole food from the counter before so its weird..
if it was dangerous, you’ll notice signs within a few hours, but you should call the animal poison control hotline or emergency hospital, phone call is free to ask (they’ll ask for a donation but this isn’t mandatory)
“Symptoms include vomiting and diarrhea, restlessness and hyperactivity, and he or she might even go to you for help and answers. Symptoms will progressively get worse from restlessness to arrhythmia and other muscle twitching. Frequent urination is common, a direct side affect of the toxin in chocolate. ”
even though it wasn’t a big amount, some dogs can be more sensitive than others so just watch for those symptoms but should be fine.
add: don’t give your dog hydrogen peroxide. first, only a vet should be advising you to do this. second, it’s pointless if your dog swallowed the chocolate an hour or more ago.
