I know blind people can apply for a service animal but can people apply for therapy animals?

I do know that blind people aren’t the only people in need of service animals. Anyway, can I apply for a therapy dog. I am having a hundred million zillion hard time finding one through classifieds, humane societies, and rescue centers.

Go to the Delta Society. org website. They have a page where you can look for service dog organizations and trainers in a particular state. People with all sorts of disabilities apply for or train a service dog to meet the needs of their specific disability. Service dogs can even be trained for people with psychiatric disabilities. You do not have to blind to apply for a service dog. Good luck.
